Why I Changed My Mind About Randomizers

By: Gary - [self]
Never again will I promote randomizers. And I'd like you to know why.

Fact is.. there are far better ways of generating income, with far better returns... and one business I want to tell you about even offers an income guarantee.

FIRST, WHAT IS A RANDOMIZER?

In case you haven't had the pleasure yet, these are websites that lure you with the prospect of making money by having people pay to join you and get a replicated website with their links in it. Each time someone joins through you, you will get paid and so will several others -- usually the site owner and a random member as well. The whole business is managed by a commercially available script.

The enticing motto of one of these PayPal / StormPay randomizers is "Earn random $10 payments for life". I saw it, was enticed and joined, so what you're reading here is the voice of experience.

This is an insider's report!

Here is the site I joined: http://randomizer.yazzi.com/promo.php?from=eprofit. You'll recognize the "eprofit" handle as being short for my domain name, eProfitNews (shame, shame, I should have known better but the greed factor sucked me in).

However it won't get me again. Here's why...

SHRINKING ODDS: As more people join, more and more pages are added to the random rotation, therefore the odds of you making significant money deteriorate proportionally. The more successful it is, the less successful you are likely to be.

But they have a solution to the shrinking odds problem. Punters can buy more "weight". This increases the number of positions you own inside the random rotation. For example, when I joined Yazzi on 9 December 2003, my weight was 1/553. So I then paid another $15 for 5 units of extra weight, which brought my odds down to 6/565, or about one per cent. I figured with all the thousands of hits the site was likely to have, my "investment" should be recooped in no time if I was getting one per cent of the traffic. Didn't happen!

OVER-EXPOSED ADS: As more people join, you see the "same old" ads more and more frequently... losing their effectiveness, of course.

"NO REFUNDS" POLICY: When you join, you make your 3 instant cash payments, which means you cannot get a refund or do a chargeback (except at serious risk of having your StormPay or PayPal account frozen). Anyway, there's also a "no refunds" policy stated at the sites. That's par for the course with randomizers. Some sites also use E-gold which has no refund process at all.

CONCEALED WEIGHT: You don't know what your weight will be until AFTER you've joined. Incidentally today, one month after joining, my weight is 6/1753. Now if I didn't score when the odds were better, what are my chances now? Yes, I know.... "random".

"RANDOM" IS A GREAT DEFENSE: Okay, the script may be a perfect piece of code, but I'm more interested in actual results. So while writing this article one month after joining Yazzi, I logged in and found these stats:

Random referrals for user EPROFIT Total referrals:No referrals yet Referrals today:No referrals yet Referrals this week:No referrals yet Referrals this month:No referrals yet

Total hits :350 Hits today :1 Hits this week :15 Hits this month :287

BOUNCING EMAIL: Incidentally my ISP bounces one of the provided email addresses. Not a particularly positive sign.

UNTIMED PROMISES: Not content with having wasted money on Yazzi (in other words, having not yet learned my lesson), I later succumbed to the powerful hype at DollarsBlaster. You may have seen their ad:

"$8,100 in your PayPal, E-gold Or StormPay account Automatically!! This new company will help blast your ad until you have 30 people under you. Site is full of useful tools and lists to make your personal Dollars blasting a success. You will earn $8,100 Guaranteed with this new program. Follow my link to experience the biggest blast in your PayPal, E-gold or StormPay account."

The ad sure sounded good to me... and the guarantee! "We advertise until you get $ 8,100". Intoxicating stuff indeed. But a few days ago I was still waiting for the first of those promised eighty-one-hundred dollars, so I wrote to the owner. Curiously, my first $7 came through shortly after that. Now, it's only $8,093 to go. But I'm not holding my breath.

NOW THEY ADMIT IT!

This evening I saw an ad with big bold letters proclaiming... "The Secret to Succeed with Randomizers".

You know what the secret is? "Get in Early!"

So this service will alert you (and presumably hundreds of others who join their mailing list!) "the very second a new Randomizer with less than 10 members comes online!"

Did I join their mailing list? No. Not now. I've learned my lesson. Instead, I spent the evening writing this article... because I'd much rather see you get involved with something ethical, reliable and transparent. YMMSS (see the box below) is one such business that also offers an income guarantee.
