Vinyl Sign Banners - High Impact - Low Cost Advertising

By: Robb Hadaway - [advertising]
Vinyl sign banners have been and still are one of the most cost effective ways of advertising. Being able to get your message to a large number of people at such a small cost is simply unbeatable. You can purchase a 3x10 full color vinyl banner these days for less than 100 dollars. That's less than 100 dollars for a copy that can be read from 300 feet! Let us take a look at 3 different ways you can make a vinyl sign banner work for your business.

The first and most obvious is outside your business. While it may seem like a simple idea to hang banners outside your place of business it is often overlooked. You don't have to drive far to see those that do and those that don't use sign banners. A sign outside your business can be used for notice of a sale or event, a holiday, or just simply as a message. We have some customers that purchase banners for each of the major holidays. They may have a sign with a Christmas branch and ornament on one side reading "Holiday Sale" in bold red and green outline. Now everyone knows it is the holiday season but this customer wants to let everyone driving by know that THEY are having a sale. This 3x10 foot vinyl sign banner cost less than $100, can be installed in 10 minutes, and clearly read from a car traveling 35mph and 50 feet away.

The second place to display a vinyl sign banner would be at local sporting events such as high school or little league baseball. Our local little league sells yearly spots for 5x8 foot vinyl banners for $240.00. Add the $120.00 cost to produce the vinyl banner and you have a great ad with a local audience for 3 seasons of baseball for $360.00. That is an outstanding value for any local business, especially ones that cater to families. Keep in mind that a little league fence is about 225 feet away so keep your copy simple and lettering should be 22 inches high for maximum impact. This is not only a great way to advertise but it also helps support your community.

A third way to display a vinyl sign banner is at an event or show. Many of the sign banners we produce are for trade shows. Depending on the amount of space you have in your booth these can vary in size from a 2x4 vinyl banner to a huge 10x40 foot vinyl banner. In a trade show setting the signs will many times be read from a close distance. Therefore, it is imperative that your copy and any photo's or artwork be a high resolution and photo quality. Many people also use banner stands to display their banner signs. These can be the popular tri-stands or a roll-out banner stand. It is a good idea to get a good quality stand because the last thing you want to do is fight with a banner stand for an hour while trying to set up your booth.

There you have it. I hope this has given you some ideas in regards to vinyl sign banner advertising. If you have any questions please feel free to send a quick email.
