The Celtic and Medieval Jewelry
By: Tina Black - [other]

There are several types of artisans in the world, as well as many different forms. Many of which delight as well as amaze us each time we view them. One such Artisan is Michael Hayman, who uses jewelry as his showcase of amazing talent. Michael's work is not only beautiful but is inspiring as well. Working with a Celtic style, Michael easily transports you through time with his hand carved pieces. Each piece represents hours of dedication to achieve a single moment of beauty that one can treasure for a lifetime.A self trained jeweler, Michael has spent 15 yrs creating his form of art, with the past 4 being full time. Relying on a heavy background of art, as well as having a mother who was an artist herself, he brings forth a talent that has been in the making for most of his life. Although his family history is rich in Celtic descent, his love of Celtic Art came about long before he ever knew of his own family ties to the culture. As many a young boy does, Michael spent his childhood, fighting imaginary dragons and thriving on stories of King Arthur. Later as he began his quest in learning how to make jewelry, he kept true to the stories of old as well as the history of smithing. As he explains on his web site, ''Everything is done by hand, no high-tech photo-etching, computer-assisted milling or mass-produced die-stampings here, just lots of blood, sweat, and tears!''

Michael's work can be viewed at www.haymancelticjewelry.com as well as instructions on how you can order your own custom work. Michael also enjoys hearing from those who view his work and responds to all the emails he receives. After exchanging emails with him, you will quickly see what a down to earth and caring person he is. He has a unique and amazing talent he shares with the world and as you begin to know Michael you will find he shares it with a warm and loving personality, that in turns makes his work that much more special!
